Olongapo City - APILG SPEAKER - Captain Ulysses O. Zalamea

The most anticipated speaker at the 3rd Annual Pacific Islands Local Government (APILG) conference hosted by the city of Olongapo on February 18-21, 2010, is Captain Ulysses O. Zalamea, the Deputy Director of the Joint Guam Program Office, who is in charge of the planning and execution of the redeployment of US military forces from Okinawa to Guam. Popularly referred to as the US military Guam build-up, the project will begin in 2010 and is expected to take more than 4 years to complete at a cost of $20 billion.

National Basketball Training Center D-League Opens the other night at Rizal Triangle Covered Court at Olongapo City.

Kgd. Cezar Lobos, the city's basketball commissioner, said the local league is aimed at preparing our local players for the national league.

Govt Coop Party held

The Olongapo City Government Employees Multi Purpose Cooperative had their fellowship held at Olongapo Convention Center last night.

Mayor Gordon together with the Gordon Team graced the occasion. Bonggo Band provided live music while members of the cooperative took turns displaying their talent.
